Pedro Martinez-  He made his spring debut with 4 shutout innings. He average 1 K an inning with 4 total.  With a total of 58 pitches he was recorded hitting 91 MPH, but he average in the upper 80's. With today's performance he should be on track to pitch April 2nd, the second game of the season.

Johan Santana- Johan also averaged a strikeout an inning on Saturday with a total of five, but he gave up 4 runs--3 earned-- against the much disliked Cardinals. Although his ERA is up to 4.50 he has a K/BB ratio of 14/2 in a total of 14 innings.

Marlon Anderson- In his first start since his collision with right fielder, Ryan Church, Anderson went 3-4 against the Tigers today.

Carlos Delgado- WOW! Carlos has been having such bad luck since the last game of the season when he got hit on the wrist with a pitch and broke it {his wrist}. Than earlier in spring training he got injured again. When he came back he was 0-10 with 5 K's. Than he has to good AB's with nice doubles in both of them. Than when he was standing on third, teammate, Brady Clark's bat broke and the shard of the bat hit Delgado on the elbow. Delgado needed 4 stiches to close the wound.

Instead of playing in yesterday's game Luis Castillo says he intends to play in Saturday's game.

Marlon Anderson is still sidelined with chest pain. He received his injury during a collision with Right Fielder, Ryan Church, who has played since he was sidelined with a concussion.

He injured his ankle sliding into second base and now Ruben Gotay did light running, but limping he was while doing so.

And center fielder, Carlos Beltran, is expected to play this weekend.
