Due to the Rain Out Tomorrow's pitchers will be... El Duque VS. J.D. Durbin For the 1:35 Game and John Maine VS. Cole Hamels For the 7:05 Game So Pelfrey or the other pitcher will be used in Colorado. Now that the Mets need the pitcher for next week They have more options...Maybe Dave Williams.

Tonight at 7:35 PM it was announced The Mets VS. Cardinals Game for 6-28-07 was PPD due to rain. No make-up date has been announced. Due to no more games this season they will have to find a date that the Mets and Cardinals are off. Tickets for tonights game will probably be used for admission for the make-up game. (The reason for the probably is because I do not work in the front office so I can't make any decisions). Wednesday, June 27

Yesterday when I was by the game they put on Sweet Caroline in the Middle of the 8th inning and fans reaction was crazy they love the song. (or maybe just singing it.) Everybody around me liked it. The Cardinal fans were also singing along. I do not see the big problem with it. So the Red Sox use it. Yippee. Every other team with a mascot stole the idea of a mascot from the Mets. Mr. Met was the first mascot in MLB history. Is anyone complaining about that? I don't hear any body complaining about the braves mascot, Homer. ![]() I Think people are making a big deal out of nothing. It's just like making a big deal about YANKEES SUCK! chants. Let them play Sweet Caroline. People like it. Who Cares! Just Enjoy The Game!

Alzheimer's Association, New York City Chapter Celebrate The 3rd Annual Alzheimer's Awareness Day At Shea Stadium On Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at 7:10 p.m., baseball fans and members of the Alzheimer's community united in the battle against Alzheimer's disease as The New York Mets host the 3rd Annual Alzheimer's Awareness Day at Shea Stadium. The Mets donated a portion of each ticket to the Alzheimer's Association. A pre-game ceremony with special recognition for the Alzheimer's community will preceded the game against the defending World Series Champions, St. Louis Cardinals. I am very sorry I didn't mention this before the game yesterday.

Well, when you looked straight ahead you saw Citi Field rising. When I looked to my left their was a family of Cardinals fans. To my right was a Met fan who was going crazy chanting the mets on. Right next to him their was a met fan who love to curse. The next row up was Allan. The Cardinal Fans did not go crazy. They pumped their fist from time to time when the Cardinals scored or got out of an inning. They cheered when someone hit a Home Run. But that was it. Ollie didn't pitch bad. He gave up 2 runs in 6 1/3 innings. Struck out 6 while only walking 3. It's not good to walk 3, but it's less than 7. He got a standing ovation from the crowd (including Allan). And he tipped his cap. The most important thing is he Jumped REALLY high over the foul line. Hielman didn't either pitch horribly. The first one was an inherited runner. That run shouldn't have scored. With 2 outs a little ground ball to Valentin was bobbled and a run scored. The second run he gave up wasn't really his fault either. Ground ball up the middle that Valentin couldn't get to. When he left the mound after he got taken out for Feliciano he got booed. I didn't agree to that. Feliciano faced one batter. He got that batter to hit a come backer to end the inning. So he had his one batter. And it was a good outing. Mota gave up one hit and that was it against him. He retired the next 3 batters. Wagner pitched one solid tenth inning, striking out one and not letting anybody to reach base. Now the hitting. Jose Reyes went 1-5 with a run scored in the first inning. He got a single. Got to second on a come backer hit by Lo Duca. And Scored on a Beltran double. Lo Duca went 1-5 with that one hit being a Home Run. Beltran 1-4 with a walk and an RBI. After he walked he stole second and third, but Delgado couldn't bring him home. Wright got a hit and walked. Delgado came up twice with a man on Third with 2 outs and couldn't drive him in. If he would have brought in Beltran once the whole game would have changed. Green got on base (Via Walk) in the ninth with 2 outs down by one. He was running on the pitch and Valentin Drove the pitch to the Right Field Corner. Because Green ran on the pitch he scored game tied. Valentin advanced to third on an error. Valentin Made an error in the eleventh inning and could have been charged with one in the seventh . He didn't make a play that I thought he should have made in the eighth. He got to third on a ball he crushed in the ninth, but didn't score because the Ageless Franco grounded out. to end the inning. Schoenwies came in the game. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Gave up a Home Run and left the game leaving a man on first and third with 2 outs. The problem with that is the Cardinals know how to score with 2 outs. Joe Smith came into the game with Adam Kennedy on third and Pujols on first. He got Encarnacion (OK, looked up how to spell his name) hit a ground ball to Valentin (OK, now start biting your nails) and Valentin ERRORED it! now the mets are down by 2!Smith got the next guy out. Delgado doubled in the eleventh with one out, but Green got out and Valentin Flew out to right field to end the game. Golden Sombrero Goes to Ryan Ludwik! YAY! Tuesday, June 26

On WFAN this afternoon, Paul Lo Duca said he believes that his appeal will be heard after the Phillies series. Once they make a decision Lo Duca would have to begin serving the suspension the very next game. I think the suspension will be cut down to 1 game. Thursday, June 21

Do you know that annoying LHP the braves have? You know the one that has the first name Macay. Well I do. His name is Macay McBride who has a win-loss record of 1-0 with a 3.60 ERA in 15 innings pitched. They traded him to the tigers for Wilfredo Ledezma. Ledezma has a win-loss record of 3-1 with a 4.79 ERA in 35.2 innings pitched. at Talking Chop, one of the blogs for the braves, They do not like the deal. McBride was annoying so I am happy he's out of the division...Out of the league. Scroll down to the update for comments on the trade.

I went to the game with a bunch of 10 Year Old kids. So they screamed their crazy chants they made up 5 second before. People were looking at those kids like they belonged in a mental institution. When I go to met games with my brother he chants like their is no tomorrow. When people look at him they thinks he cute. (They Chant with him) When He sees' a yankee fan he Chants Go Back to the Bronx. Up until the fifth inning I was really pay attention. The whole game I relaxed and talked to one of my friends. Than we saw a yankee fan. He drank WAY to much beer. He couldn't even stand up straight, but he managed to fight with us. We were screaming at him he was throwing his beer bottle at us. Than a met fan from the next section told the guy to be quite and sit down. The guy surprisingly listened. When the mets had 1st and 3rd and 2 outs the guy stood up. The met fan was about to punch the guy in the face, but was restrained. That fight went on from the 5th inning until 5 minutes after the game ended. To cap the night a Crazy guy jumped on to the field after the game ended and their was a major pursuit to catch the guy who escaped through the center field fence. Now about the game. I was not upset about how Ollie pitched. If Willie didn't bring in Schoenwies they might have won. Schoenwies came in with a man on 1st and 2nd and they both scored. 5-2. The Mets could come back from 2. It is harder to come back from 4 when Joe Nathan is on the mound. Any ways Ollie was upset about the way he pitched so when he got to the dirt in front of the dugout he fired his mitt and cap into the dugout. The mets got nine hits, but none of them were big hits. The closest batted ball to being a clutch hit was Valentin's bullet down the right field line that Morneau snagged to save an extra base hit and two runs from scoring. Maybe The weekend series will be the right one. VOTE Lo DUCA! LETS GO METS! Wednesday, June 20

Mets vs. Twins Shea Stadium Flushing New York Pitching matchup NYM: LHP Oliver Perez (7-5, 2.93 ERA) Perez was brilliant in blanking the Yankees last Friday, in what would become the team's only Subway Series bright spot. He went 7 1/3 innings, allowing just five hits and three walks in a classic "effectively wild" performance that earned him his team-leading seventh win. He'll go for his eighth against the Twins, against whom he sports an 0-1 record despite a 1.17 ERA.
MIN: RHP Scott Baker (1-2, 7.33 ERA)

15 Votes. That's OK lets shoot for more this time. Maybe the topic wasn't the most exciting, but it was pretty much even.
6 votes- Jason Kendall 5 votes- Alex Rodriguez 4 votes- Armando Benitez 0 votes- Craig Biggio Julio Lugo Personally I thought Benitez would get the most votes. Due to the fact the poll was put up the day after he balked Reyes home. Enjoy the next poll! -Sal

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the manager of the Mississippi Braves tirade over the weekend. One of the funniest things you will ever witness. Its much funnier then that other tirade in the minors from last year (and that saying a lot). My favorite part is when he crawls behind the mound like hes in a war and pretends the rosin bag is a grenade and throws it at the ump! I also enjoyed when he ejected the ump from the game and then at the end, throws kisses to his adoring fans. Its kinda nice to see this happen to a guy in a braves uni! |
